It’s All About Jesus

It’s amazing! The Almighty Creator of everything deeply cares about every one of us. He wants to know us. When we spend time with him, he smiles…and we grow.

But it get’s even better! Everything about Him is perfect. Everything about Him is loving. Which is really good. Because everything about us is completely lacking. We might think we have things figured out. But if that’s the case, why do we still have questions? Why do we still hurt? What’s missing?

Jesus. The only Son of God who lived among us. But He didn’t just live, he lived sinlessly! He never made a mistake. He never had to take back something he said. And best of all, He still lives…and he wants to take up residence in your heart!

So, what do you have to do to get Him in there? Send Him an invitation.

Here is How God’s Word Words it…

This is a simple way to look at God’s love for us called the Romans Road. It’s called that because it comes from the book of Romans in the Bible.

Romans 3:23

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”

In other words. We all mess up. We say things we shouldn’t. We do things we shouldn’t. We even plan things that have nothing to do with love. All of these things may be a little different from person to person, but you know what we’re talking about.

Romans 6:23

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

The price to pay is eternal separation from God. But here’s the deal…God gives us the solution. He doesn’t sell it to us, or lease it to us, or let us borrow the solution. He gives it to us. It’s Jesus.

Romans 5:8

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this; While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Even knowing we were living these messed up lives, Jesus gave his life for ours. He knew we couldn’t, so He did. But remember, this is no ordinary man. This is the one and only Son of God. He came back after being certified dead for three days! So think about it. So far God has done all the work. What’s your part?

Romans 10:9

“That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

The confess part means you’re saying “Jesus is right and I’m wrong.” It’s saying “I can’t work this out on my own, but I know Jesus has a plan.” It’s really deciding to hand all those things over to Him.

The believe part means you really understand that the resurrection of Jesus after three days is not just a cute Sunday School story. It’s the real deal. Jesus defeated death!

You will be saved is about as direct as it gets. It means you live instead of dying. It means you go to heaven instead of hell. It means you get to hang out with Jesus for the rest of your life, enjoying His guidance, His comfort and His presence in your life!
